Week 6 landscape shoot

Hello everyone and welcome to my photos for the week. I am extremely happy alot of you enjoyed my freezer photo last week but this week we were asked to do a different kind of shoot, all of these photos were taken from making multiple stops on the interstate. I figured most of my time is spent on the interstates so if I am going to get this assignment done it is going to have to be worked into my work schedule. I must say I do belive they came out pretty nicely you can even see the interstate in a few of the photos which I believe made for good picture taking, by good picture taking I mean I feel as though the man made contour of the interstate fit in nicely with the natural contour of the fields and mountains. Together bringing an overall nice contrast to the photos well I hope to see everyones photos soon and comment on a few of them hope you enjoyed mine as well. :)

  1. John- I agree, your composition was great and the lines and contour of the road (especially the last one) make for an interesting shot. Nice job!

  2. The definite lines that the interstate gives it a very bold feel. I like the close up of the road looking down makes u wonder where this road will lead you. Interesting ideas!

  6. I like the last photo and the parrel lines of the orad running through it. The roads grab your attention and pull you through the photo. The photos make me feel lonely and cold.

  7. Careful with the centered horizon, Finn, these images have long expanses of space so a rule of thirds approach to horizon would make them more dynamic. The s-curve of highway helps bring our eye into the horizon for some of them, but a 1/3 or 2/3's position for horizon would be better.
