Well everyone, here it is! my week 2, number 2 photo I chose. I shot this boot on the window sill with no extra light other than what was radiating from the window in hopes to capture somewhat of a boot Silhouette and after a few attempts I shot the one I posted here before you. I think I captured what it was I sought after. Now! in ending, I think I have gotten pretty good so far with when to use flash and when not to use flash. On to the next shall we!
John, these look great, I am so bad at figuring out when to use the flash I tend to leave it on automatic. My husband lives in his boots as well, so I can understand why you picked them as a subject.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy this picture much better then your first photo. Even though I am unable to see the boot itself the contrast between the light background and the "shadow" like image of your boot is amazing. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI like the second picture and that it is basically just the outline of the boot. The background came out clear, but yet you could still tell the focus of the picture was the boot. Great job.
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that you used your workboots as a focus for your shoot. These are some mean boots, and must mean that you work awfully hard!
ReplyDeleteI like the 2nd photo, as it seems more artistic to me. The dark outline of the boot in the foreground, and the light contrast behind it is appealing.
Great job!
Nice job with your photos John. Very cool perspective. The one in the window almost is shadowed by the bright light in the background. Oh to think of the places these boots have been and the miles they have walked. "if you were only in my shoes" this picture is almost saying.
