week 7 photoshop
Hello everyone this program has caused me to lose some hair. If it was not the complete feeling of being new, vulnerable, and lost within this software it was frustration that I couldnt get anything to work the way I wanted. I used the three tools that were asked of me to use (crop, move and selection) (marquee, lasso and magic wand)It was a difficult process learning how to use the layers option especially when I have never done it before but with trial and error I think I have done what the assignment calls for. I used the selections tool to crop my truck then set it as a layer and sent it to my snowmobile photoe using all the tools asked of me.

This is a good job of placing your truck into the picture with the snowmobile it almost looks as if it belongs there, just needs a little blending of the edges.
ReplyDeleteAt first I couldn't figure out what you changed and then AHA, the truck. It looks stuck in the snowbank.
ReplyDeleteI hear you at times this was a little frustrating. At one point I had almost completed one of my images and then the battery died on my computer and I lost everything. I had to fight the urge to throw it! I like what you did with your image though I had to look twice at the first photo to realize that the truck didn't belong.
ReplyDeleteI think that most of us are having some technical issues. I think my computer is too slow, and am frustrated with how long things seem to upload at times.
ReplyDeleteI really like what you ended up with for a photo manipulation though! It does look like the truck is stuck!
It does take a long time to get things to work the way you want. I think the key is never to give up and just keep trying. Make things silly and just have fun with it. So hopefully you're not bald now!
ReplyDeleteJohn, I think you did an awesome job. It is certainly making us all feel the same way, but goes without saying when learning new stuff. Seems to me your photos look quite fitting together! Nice!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool John, this must have taken some patience, I tried adding a car to mine and had nothing but frustration. Love how it looks pulled right up into the snowbank. Did you white out the back of the truck a little or did it just work out that way?

Cleaning up the background of the truck selection with your eraser tool would make it an even more seamless fit. Also that truck needs to be slightly larger to fit with the snowmachines, so selecting the background, then inverting the selection (which makes a tight selection on the truck) and transforming the size (hold down the shift key while you drag the corner of your selection: edit > transform or free transform) would have made this amazing. Even so your first attempt is great.
